Ready to dive into the deep end? For 5 weeks I will be your guide in this immersive program to help elevate your technique, refine your artistic style and address specific creative challenges with regards to color and composition. Learn how to appluy color harmonirs and design with armatures. Composition is KING. Along with the live sesssions I will give personal feedback and guidance throughout the weeks by emails and by digitally adjusting your images to see “before and after” adjustments to images. 8 student max. $250 Contact me at Christine @swannportraits.com to register.

Luxury Artist Retreat in the country of Dominica in the Caribbean

March 13-20th 2027

Join me for a special artist trip to Dominica!  Beyond painting each day, this is an all-inclusive retreat including all meals, yoga, meditation, and a guided trip to Victoria Falls. We will be staying at the luxurious Rosalie Resort which used to be a sugar and lime plantation. Transportation will be included to run around the area to paint and explore including turtle watching on Dominicas black sand beaches. We will even have a Caribbean cooking class and spa treatments. The week will be spent on finding our focus on our artistic path.

This workshop is open to all artists working in all mediums. Supplies are not included, but we will be packing light. I can help you plan ahead. Work in whatever medium you choose in this raw paradise.

Single Room Rate-  $5100 for all instruction, events, classes, spa treatments and meals each day.  Flight not included. Non-refundable deposit of $1000 due to hold spot. No refund on cancellations after September 2026.

I am honored to have been asked to serve as the Juror for the International Exhibition sponsored by the New Zealand Pastel Society as part of their annual convention.  I will be teaching and demonstating at the convention and around the country.  More information and exact dates of where I will be for the traveling workshops coming soon.

Join me for 3 days of study about portraiture, light and pastels at this world-class museum. After studying light from still life set-ups the first day we will apply what we learn to the study of the head as we build a portrait over the next 2 days from references.

Cornwall, England

Pastel Plein Air Workshop

September 2- 8 2027

Cornwall! I have always wanted to paint there. Join me for an incredible workshop at a lovely castle-style hotel in St. Ives called the Tregenna Hotel. We will be painting at the beautiful seaside towns of Port Issac, Mevagissy, Kynance Cove and Mousehole. Breakfasts and dinners are included except on a “free day” to shop or paint on your own. Lunches will be at the different locations and are at your own cost. Airfare not included.
