Last Friday I did an interview on tv.
It was very fun to see the news anchors and cameras all around different sets and to be able to talk about what I do. Then I went off to do a brief demo which they then checked in on repeatedly after a few commercials and then later there was a wrap-up and an unveiling of the portrait which I had done ahead of time. This link below has the beginning of the interview, but I can’t seem to find a link to the wrap-up although a lot of people said they saw it. And, lucky me, the client who let me use the image of her daughter is buying the headshots too. If anyone has a recording of the ending, let me know!
Otherwise I did a 2-day master portrait workshop with a model on Saturday and Sunday, ran my mentorship and pastel classes the last 2 days, did an Artist Talk Tuesday night with the Thornback Gallery about my kintsuki series, and now I am up and running on some new oil commissions.
Whew. I am tired. I need a week-long nap. 😊

You are so famous!
Hi. I follow you all the time, love your work, but unfortunately could never get into working with pastels. I bought a lot of stuff and took some of your classes, but just did not like working with that medium. I knew you worked with oils on occasion, and I see in this post that you are currently working on some oils. My question is…will you ever be conducting any oil painting classes? I live in Pgh., but my son lives in Greenville. I would love to attend either on line or in person if you ever held such classes.
Hi. I did teach oil classes when I was in Pa, but I don’t have anything set up in oil right now. There are a lot of other instructors that teach that medium here so I guess I have just “stayed in my lane”. But now you got me thinking I need to do an oil workshop. Would love to work with you! If you are ever here just for a visit let me know and pop by my studio!
It is an honor to know a famous artist. Thank you for sharing.
